Virtual assistants deliver services to their clients online or ‘virtually’. The role provides a wide range of services, such as secretarial, administrative, creative, or technical, to a small or medium-sized business externally. Duties of a virtual assistant include (but are not limited to) making travel arrangements, accounting, researching, and performing other specialised business services as required, and communicating and coordinating with internal and external clients and/or stakeholders.

 

Virtual assistants need great communication skills, exceptional computer skills, and good organisational and planning skills so that they can execute complex written and verbal instructions, maintain a high quality of work under rigorous pressure, and meet close deadlines.
